Editor’s Note: If it feels too tight, just give them a stretch. And this is by design. Why? Most beanies out there will get blown out and mis-shaped after one season of use. That is not good design nor is it sustainable. This is primarily because most beanies have little to no elastane content in their yarn, combined with low quality cotton or acrylic. This might allow for off-the-shelf shaping, but significantly decreases the overall life of the product. Fundamentally, this should be the other way around. We sourced non-mulesed and humanely sourced wool from New Zealand (which has so many benefits you should probably know about - just Google it. Or ask ChatGPT. Or even send us a DM) We then knitted the wool in Japan into the classic silhouette of the dockworker's beanie.
